  with their latest tv ad that stereotypes artists, anbd their wanna be r&b radio commercial, im tempted to blow all of them up!

  i cant stand stereotypes, and the artist one hits clsoe to home for me.

  I totally agree Russell was a nut,

  Yes, but Rutherford took the cake, at least Russell believed in his words, as crazy as they were.

  Can the same be said for Rutherford, Knorr, Franz etc.

  Russell didn't seem to be as money hungry as the presidents that followed him.

  JW 'urban legends'

  i was thinking about some of the old jw urban legends that we grew up with and believed in as jws.

  most of the ones i remember revolved around stories about demons, and jws being "attacked" when they would do something wrong.

  some of these legends scared the crap outta me when i was little.

  we used to have one family that always claimed they were being attacked by demons, I heard story after story, but they never moved out of that house. Makes you wonder, anything for attention.

  Do You Want To Be In Love

  i am curious about this.

  i'm just 20 but i've been sexually active from a fairly young age and i've dated for a few years now.

  i have never felt i was in love with anyone.

  I feel pretty complete all by myself.

  too many of my friends cannot be alone, they break up with one girlfriend and two days later they're with somebody else, I ask why, and they say "I can't be alone." , half the time they don't even like the person, but they figure at least they can get laid, and not be alone, how pathetic is that.

  ON the other hand, my wife and I have discussed many times that if we broke up, we would both probaly stay single, we are happy, but I can honestly say, if we broke up tomorrow I would stay single, probaly for a long time.

  Your ideas change as time goes by, what you thought in your teen years, changes in your twenties, and your thirties you look at everything diferently, and I'm sure when I hit my forties, I will look at everything differently again.

  I day boom, you meet that special person, if it happens great, but tto many people go looking for it and try to make it in to something it is not.

  just my experience through the years.

  Foiled conversion attempt!

  someone will be very disappointed tomorrow morning!

  i am home on maternity leave right now, and this has given me the opportunity to meet people in our neighborhood that i might never have come in contact with otherwise.

  a few weeks ago, i started chatting with a mother who was out for a walk with her toddler.

  ( We live in a gated community where they are not permitted to do the door to door crap)

  I think we will see more of this as time goes by, people do NOT want them calling on their house. The story in Blainville, Quebec, Canada (even though they lost temporaily) is going to become law soon. With more and more secure living communities, gated, fenced, guards on duty, I see alot of this in the rich areas, and you CANNOT get in their to preach.

  What does a true JW really want from life ???

  could be your parents, a close friend, brother/sister, family member or whoever ........... what do they really want from their life ???.

  paradise earth ?.

  living forever ?.

  position ?

  power ?

  the idea that they're right and everyone else is wrong ?

  perfect children ?

  what keeps them going and striving to do more, deep down in their heart, what do they want from their life ???

  Why is serving Jehovah (watchtower) the only thing in their life ? is their life that boring, or are they really that afraid to live.

  I know too many questions ....

  any thoughts or experiences .........

  Weird meeting hours

  what was the weirdest meeting hours you've ever seen or had?

  sundays, we had 4 congregations for one kh.

  one meeting on sunday was from 4pm to 6pm.

  I remember going to the memorial one time at about 10:30 at night, it was over at 11:40, seemed a bit late, but so many congregations using the same hall.

  The worst was when they tried to start Friday night service from the hall at 7 and head into the territory at 7:30, I never went, was asked to, it didn't last long, maybe a couple months, can't imagine why this wasn't a success ???

  this is so frustrating - just wanted to vent a bit.. .

  my younger brother, who has been "inactive" for about 8 years, has decided that everything wrong about his life is due to his not being "right with jehovah".

  this is the part that pisses me off, he's not even back in the fold and already judging you.

  What exactly are Jehovah's teachings, should of said Watchtower teachings, lets see, UN is ok now, doctrine flip flops are ok, Child abuse is OK, sexual and verbal abuse is ok, women are garbage is OK,

  WOW !!! I see the light, maybe we should all go back.
